Investigative Review

 

THE SPIRIT HOUSE, EVESHAM - 19/07/2014 (NEW EVP at the bottom of the page)

 

The activity started not long after we arrived, whilst Claire was setting up our equipment there were footsteps seeming to pace at the back of the healing room (which was our base room for the night) and just a general feeling of being watched/observed. After setting up the equipment Claire then went to take pictures of this lovely building and all its amazing artifacts on display but when going to use the camera it wouldn't work and no end of changing batteries would change this so sadly we didn't manage to get any pictures this time (however we will definitely be returning so hopefully we will be able to share this with you next time)!

 

We first started our investigation in the parlor, doing a full group vigil and opening circle. We set up K2s, a twist torch and the trigger object of a ball with a bell inside, sadly we didn't get any response using any of these objects at this time. When calling out 2 people sensed the presence of a victorian man stood in the far left corner of the room, when his presense was acknowledged the whole circle appeared to go cold (which due to the extremely high temperature this area had throughout most of the night was very strange). Other than this we didn't have much activity after 20 minutes so split off in to 2 groups.

 

Group 1 had 5 people who stayed in the parlor, we set up a K2, Torch, the ball and the Ovilus III. We decided to sit around the incredible table in the middle of the room and put the Ovilus in the centre. We had some very interesting responses come through on this relating to some of the artifacts in the room and as we went around the room searching for these objects the spirit/s starting to get increasingly excited and would keep saying words relating to the object we searched for, we had a bible and tin (both found on the table behind us), Mercury and worm (all found in the medical cabinets in the room) and a number of other things some of which had been in the room next to ours. It then went on to say words relating to the Group 2. We also had a few solid knocks that appeared to be coming from under the table which nobody in the group could account for but again no activity with and of the other objects we had set up in this room.

 

Group 2 had 6 people who went down to the Cellar, they set up the Spirit box, K2, Torch, Ouija board and Table tipping with the table that is always left in the cellar by the owners (with an amazing victorian doctors bag sat on it due to the building previously being a doctors surgery). We tried a few different methods of communication, starting with table tipping. We started to get a slight rocking motion, nothing too much though, with the K2, but failed to get any hits on the device. We did try using the Franks box to pick up any voices through the white noise, however after 30 minutes and no responses we decided to switch back to other methods of communication. After not getting too much on the table earlier, we placed the doctors bag and the K2 on the table, and this time got a much more positive result. We had the table moving back and forth with powerful motions, changing speed and stopping altogether to answer questions, at one point the K2 was knocked off the table by the rocking motion! Using the table, after extensive questioning, we came managed to get through that we were first talking to a little girl, who was something to do with the surgery. We had some very strong responses, especially after asking if she had died in the building - the table really started to move then! We also had the spirit of a doctor come through on the Ouija board which had a lot of energy. It successfully picked up on a member of the group who had an illness and gave an indication as to what it was, then after asking what was in the doctors bag, it started to spell out "medicine". After communicating for over an hour, we only managed to get 2 medium K2 hits. This appeared to be when they wanted us to leave, we even asked for one last confirmation that it did want us to go and not only did we get one last hard push on the table, we also had a noticable change in atmosphere in conjunction with the K2 hits, with several members of the group voicing their sudden unease in the cellar.

 

After our break we then all joined together in the cellar for a group vigil as this had been the area where the most impressive activity had taken place. We set up a K2 and torch on the stairs, a K2 and the Ovilus went on the table. We started with the Ouija board and found thet when it was just the women the planchette wouldn't move and the energy felt very flat so we decided to as the 2 guys in the group to join and straight away we got movement and the Ovilus responded with 'Girl' so we believed it was the same girl that Group 2 had encountered in the cellar earlier, when asking if she was indeed this girl the planchette went straight to yes on the board. When asking her further questions she seemed to struggle with the Ouija board so we feel she may have been too young to read or write, she continued to just move the planchette backwards and forwards very quickly on the board so we decided to ask if she would prefer table tipping, with this we got an instant 'Yes' and a 'sure' on the Ovilus. The table tipping with this young girl again was pretty impressive with stop and start responses to questions. We coninued to go between the Ouija and table tipping for a couple of hours with some group members getting personal messages, we encountered a monk that would only communicate using the Ovilus and had some great responses (and a few that slightly confused us)! Then ended the night talking to some civil war soldiers that initially made there presence known by saying 'soldiers' on the ovilus, we also had Fight spelled out on the Ouija and when asked if they had been soldiers we got and instant Yes and the same response when asked if they had been in the battle of Evesham.

 

All in all a very interesting night in a very interesing location which we look forward to going back to in the future. Thank you to everyone that joined us!
